Digitial 3D printing reveals ways to create objects

where hybrids and transitions are materialized sym-

bols for a new age. By positioning this technological

practice in an artistic workshop format, experimental

exploration opens areas where new ideas and inno-

vation can occur.

The aim of the research project is to investigate how

new technology gives people new ways to create and

shape with natural materials. This shows a new way

of dealing with the world where the traditional cre-

ative rituals are changing. With different materials as

a medium, 3D print opens the artistic possibilities,

and in the workshop, the natural geological process-

es of clay are processed through digital algorithms.

As the alchemists experimented with materials for

creating gold, we explore 3D- printing with clay to

create new expressions.
